ELECTRICIAN

It performs preventive or corrective maintenance of electrical equipment or installations from electrical diagrams or floor plans, according to safety and regulatory rules.

DESCRIPTION OF SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES

  • Identify methods of intervention

  • Prepare adapted material

  • Realize the assembly of industrial or operating equipment

  • Make adjustments to focus the equipment and check its operation

  • Diagnose and locate an electrical failure or failure or regulatory non-conformities on the production or operating facility

  • Identify corrective actions and technical solutions and conditions for equipment restoration

  • Identify components and defective parts

  • Change a defective part or repair a defective part

  • Adjust machine and equipment parameters

  • Perform preliminary tests for the commissioning of the electrical installation or equipment

  • Assist a customer when handling equipment

  • Report on its activity: fill in the intervention monitoring media and transmit the information to the department concerned

  • Escalate any anomalies to their hierarchy

  • Guarantor of compliance with electrical standards, it brings the necessary energy to the various equipment

  • Guarantor of the conformity of assemblies and wiring made according to the technical drawings

  • Knowledge and compliance with security standards and QSE

  • Knowledge of electricity, electrical engineering, electronics; automation 

  • Mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic knowledge

  • Electrical cabinet wiring, electronic board change, cable pulling 

  • Electrical assembly rules

  • Electrical safety standards

  • Welding techniques

  • Maintenance Basics

  • Mastery of crimping, assembly wiring and welding techniques

  • Knowledge of problem solving methodology, troubleshooting

  • Use of power tools (electric saw, sander) and electrical measuring devices (multimeter, etc.) and hand tools (wrench, pliers, saw.)

  • Knowledge and compliance with safety standards and QSE: risks, intervention limits and safety rules

  • Written and oral communication 

  • Electrical clearance

  • Nuclear risk clearance may be required

  • Possible use of equipment requiring CACES authorisation
